    Yep! I am alive and I do still intend to work on this. Obviously, it's an unfortunate fact that I do have a real life and several other obligations besides, and these have recently consumed me (and will likely continue to consume me periodically for the duration of the project). But as of today, March 17th, I do intend to continue working on SIMPLE in the very near future.



    Fantastic. The best things you can do to help with no input from me (assuming another absence like the recent one) are proofreading and playtesting. I need to know what elements of the game are missing, which are unbalanced, and where Wageman's prose leaks through my additions. Honestly, just mechanics questions will help me.     TL;DR: SIMPLE has a boxed setting now, I'm very ill and can't stop myself from babbling.

    Should be formally stated here: I'm bundling an original setting with SIMPLE Fallout. It's been added to the SIMPLE infobox as The Sound, or Old Seattle. I'll be working on it and on the system proper more or less randomly, as inspiration and physical health permit (as it turns out, it's really hard to write a simple diceroller when you're running a 101 degree fever). 

    wish I were motivated enough to continue working on the system proper, but I am very sick and probably going to postpone that kind of work for a week or so. I'm going to do my best to work on the Old Seattle pages regardless.

    Phase Two? Phase Two???

    Phase Two. I'm going to go ahead and assume that Wageman ain't responding. That means this project is officially Mine (tm), pending Wageman stealing it back.

    The focus of Phase Two is converting the game to a proper 3d6 system. Inspired I guess by Fallout Proper or the other Fallout ttrpg, a lot of elements of this still have percentile modifications. This Will Not Do. As a dabbling statistician, I like the normalized distribution of 3d6 rolls, so I'm not converting it into a d% system. Unfortunately, there are a lot of misplaced percentiles. In the coming weeks I'm gonna be running through and replacing them with additive modifiers. This may upset game balance but if I'm being completely honest? I don't think this ga…

    Roadmap

    I don't actually anticipate anyone reading this. But uh, if you're curious what I'm planning on doing on this project (and in case you're picking through the bones of this wiki years after the fact the way I am):

    IMMEDIATE GOALS:

    I don't really want to do anything too crazy for a week or so; wanna give Wageman a chance to actually respond to my email (which I sent!). Right now I'm mostly adding rules that were implied but not actually statted out anywhere (Taunting), clarifying ambigious language, and fixing the myriad grammar errors.

    AFTER A FEW WEEKS:

    If Wageman doesn't get back to me, I'm going to invoke the ancient arts of Creative Commons and hijack the project. I'll toss a note up on the main page and get to work actually knuckling down …

    Declaration of Intent

    I'm apparently supposed to make one of these before messily seizing control of someone else's tabletop RPG. Well, it's happening, I'm doing it. I see Wageman's game and I've decided to make it vaguely pallatable. Current goals are getting it to an actually playable state (example checks for all skills, beastiary, etc). If you don't like it uhhhhhhhhh CC-BY-SA bitch.

    Long-term goals include writing an actual module, or at least uploading Actual Plays. Even longer term goals include finding someone to work on this with me so it's not a joyless partially-psychotic thing I'm undertaking while sleep-deprived and high on New Vegas.

    I'm reliatively new to this site and Fallout games in general- ive only played and completed with FO3 and New Vegas- and I'm also fresh into the world of tabletop/pen-and-paper RPGs, but iv'e looked over the articles of this game and I must say, I like what I see. for the most part. the rules look good, fun and exciting and i'm very eager to put them into practice, but i noticed some parts of the wiki were unfinished, and other parts still i don't entirely agree with. anyway, enough jabber. here's some things i'd like to bring up that i hope you change or finish:
